Greek Cuisine
Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

This is my first review, and I have to say I wish there was a wider scale of measurement, as well as a breakdown of service, food, decor, etc. I think they deserve more than two stars, but not with the definitions that correspond to the stars. I feel kind of guilty giving this low of a rating, but it's honest, so... My husband and I came here for 'date night' tonight. Let's see... The saganaki (cheese) was very tasty, as was the bread. (Both husband and I noticed the "opa!" was very understated, and not just on ours, but we're not super into showmanship, so no biggie.) Dessert was fabulous. The service was very good. So why the two stars? I probably made a mistake in ordering the leg of lamb. I figured it's a Greek restaurant, so the lamb should be good, right? Seriously, if you had given me a blind taste test, I don't think I would have ID'd it as lamb. Maybe beef. It was ok, but not worth $15. The peas were so gross looking I did not even touch them. They looked canned, and I HATE canned peas. If they weren't canned, they were cooked WAY too much. The potatoes were ok, but nothing special. The wine the waitress recommended to go with my lamb had a very 'blah' finish. Funnily enough, for the wine I asked her for to go with our saganaki, she brought us a taste first because I guess a lot of people order it and then don't like it. It was fine - I won't be trying to import it from Greece or anything, but it was reasonably good and went well with the saganaki. The wine I had her recommend to go with the lamb, that I didn't like? No taste first. Probably an oversight on her part. It happens. It's just unfortunate that that was the one I didn't like. Husband had the Greek trio. He liked it fine, but said it wasn't great. I had a nibble of each of his dishes, and honestly, liked them better than mine. We grabbed a carry out menu; we'd both like to try their gyros and whatnot. Reading the reviews now, I wish I had gone for the Chicken Lemonato, if not the trio that husband got. We won't be going back for a nice dinner out any time soon, but we'll try it in another context sooner or later. Sorry, Pegasus. If we go back and it's better, I will definitely edit or remove this review.

Food is pretty much on par with the Greektown location. However, if you dont arrive in a group then be prepared to be seated in the bar/kitchen where the waiters will be staring at you while they look to see if other customers need their attention. The lemon rice soup is great, the saganaki (ordered at other tables) is presented in a lackluster "opa or something" manner, and that's about it. Yeah, okay, whatever. Not really planning on going back unless it's the only place open. Go to the Greektown location instead where everything is great except the dust on the plastic leaves in the ceiling.

Finally stopped in the newly opened Pegasus Taverna on Jefferson. Parking lot packed, had to park next door, which I'm sure we were not allowed to do, but it was a Friday night, so we took a chance. Hostess told us there was about a 25 minute wait, we may have waited longer but were able to find a spot at the bar order a couple of drinks and order a Saganaki appetizer while we waited. After we were seated at our table, the waitress came by to refresh our drinks and take our orders. Food came promptly and was exactly what we were expecting from Pegasus, pretty much the same as downtown. Service was quality, atmosphere was good, food was delicious - typical Greek food! Since the Nautical Miles restaurant choices often get boring, it is nice to have a newcomer to the neighborhood.

I had the chicken kabobs. They had almost no flavor. Did someone forget to marinate them? The side dishes of roasted potatoes and sweet peas were very good. I suggest staying away from the chicken kabobs.

Let me start by saying that while I like the Greektown location, there is much better Greek food out there. You go to Pegasus for the experience. I do not like this location at all -- the food wasn't that great and it was way overpriced. $7 for *four* thin slices of fried zucchini and some garlic spread? I was shocked when that came out for our appetizer. My dinner was six shrimp that could have been an app somewhere else. My wife didn't care for her veal, it tasted bitter and there wasn't much of it. The service was mediocre and the server wouldn't let me substitute a small Greek salad like they do downtown. She said no to several requests at another table as well. Seriously - having a Greek salad was my main reason to come here, because they're great. I would have paid another dollar or two, but not $6 for a small Greek salad. We will not be coming back here, and I suggest that anyone else in the mood for Greek (or reasonably priced tasty food) go elsewhere. On our way out, the server and the hostesses barely acknowledged us, and the one that did say something seemed glad that we were leaving. Let me tell you -- not half as glad as we were.

Good food, but bring the armored car. I expect to pay these kind of prices at someplace like Roast. We ordered saganaki and loukanaki(?) 1 regular lamb chop dinner and the smaller version. $125. I ordered a Jack and coke, $8, cmon guys you do know there is a recession going on right? And 1 baklava for dessert enough for 2 people and absolutely decadent. I mean the chops were fork tender but geez louise they are not gold plated, they came with rice and green beans which were really good and had a nice bite to them. Service was impeccable and everything was very clean. In the end I'd rather go to Sahara, the food is just as good, if not better at 3/4 the price. Food 4 star Service 4 star Price minus 3 stars

Pegasus is solid Greek cuisine. Their lamb shank is fall-off-the-bone! The problem that I see with this establishment is that the service does not match the price-tag; the waitstaff needs more training before being allowed to serve here. My scoring would have been higher for Pegasus had the service not been so poor because the food is wonderful and the manager/owner is very understanding and attempts to make make right of the mistakes made by the staff.

Not sure why people are bashing Pegasus on here, unless they have no clue on what constitutes good food and service . . . or good Greek food. Perhaps they expect chain restaurant prices for upscale food . . . ain't gonna happen people! I am a very seasoned diner and former restaurant manager, so I have quite a bit of knowledge of how things are supposed to be regarding food, beverage, service and atmosphere. Personally, I prefer sitting at the bar or at the tables in the bar, however that's just my preference. I think it's brighter and more fun. Too bad there isn't any outdoor seating, however they did such an amazing job converting this space into a Pegasus from that tired old Tom's Oyster Bar (which was disgusting). Also, being a vegan and somewhat of a food snob, I find the food here very consistent and the staff is always very accommodating regarding my requests. It is one of the few places that I can go to by myself and have fun and feel quite comfortable. I'm happy to see something of this caliber in St. Clair Shores, as most of the other restaurants are pretty overrated and somewhat lame.

This is a good substitute for the downtown location. The interior has the same appearance, minus the age. I'm not a big fan of American-Greek food to begin with, so my opinion is skewed unfortunately. However, the spinach pie was outstanding. The braised lamb was forgetful. I doubt the deserts are made in house, but the chocolate cheesecake was good so who cares where they made it? The Greek coffee we washed it all down with could have powered my car for a month. Wine menu isn't extensive, but has several Greek selections which were better than you would think. The service was excellent.

We arrived on a Saturday night around 800 pm without a reservation and was told the wait was 25 minutes. It ended up being more like 50 because the place seemed to be ridiculously packed for that late...than again it has only been open for a short time so I didn't let this bother me too much. Seating was sort of lame, it was packed so we were squeezed next to a couple literally inches away from each other. The wait staff as average at best. The food I cannot complain about at all! I was very impressed with both mine and my girlfriend's dinners. I have never been too excited about Greek food but this meal may have changed my mind. I'm only giving this place 4 out 5 because the waitress packed the food to go for the older couple next to us, but just handed me the boxes when I asked for our meals to go.
(4)Theresa T.
Excellent..I'm not sure of other complaints here. Maybe the prices are on the high side however, food prices have skyrocketed lately and if you've ever had to roll grapeleaves you'd understand it's not easy or cheap. With that being said... My lunch here was fantastic. The food was all delicious and fresh. As you can see from my pictures they are very generous with the food, especially the beets and garlic, my favorite. Worth the hour drive from my house. My service was outstanding. Maria waited on me at the bar. I only drank water but it was always filled. Do not hesitate to eat here.
(5)John M.
It's gotten a lot better than what it was. It's about a 3.5 but rounded it to 4 stars. They seem to have a decent staff too. It's worth another shot if you had been here in the past they got it better than what it was. My dish could of used a bit more sauce but it was still good and I didn't feel like asking for anything else. It's either right the first time or not but it was good enough as is, but you might have to ask for extra sauce if they skimp on you or maybe it was a brief oversight. If anything is not good just tell the server as they seem good at redoing things that don't seem up to par. I must admit their service has been really good and that puts them at 4 stars.

Nearly a five. I'm surprised with the rating on Yelp -- is it the price? I don't know, but anyway... Yeah, I wouldn't consider myself a huge fan of Greek food, as my interest is weak in most of what's on the menu outside of lemon chicken or, like I had today, the gyro. I had been here in the past and ordered the lemon chicken. I really liked it, but it was before I really used Yelp. I got take out, so I can only speak for the food, but that shit is tasty! It's a basic gyro with the meat, onions, and tomatoes on a pita, and tzatziki on the side. The portion you get here is pretty good, as they pile on the meat so much that I had to take some off and eat it before I could have a bite of the gyro. I really liked the flavor and the fact that the meat wasn't dry (easily can ruin a gyro), but was maybe a little bit too salty for my taste. On the plus side, the tzatziki takes away from that saltiness pretty well. The lemon rice soup is alright, but not the best I've had. It's on the thin side, which I'm alright with, but the rice is just mushy. I like the amount of lemon in it though, so that's a plus. I enjoyed it overall. So... that's that. A tasty and filling gyro with good lemon rice soup for a meal, or the lemon chicken -- really bitchin' options at Pegasus.

I am still happy that I can go to the Shores rather than all the way downtown for some Greek food! I'm still not convinced that the food here is not prepared well in advance and frozen, as I've had a few experiences where the my dinner was cold (not warm, but cold), and when it came it back, it was steaming like it was just microwaved... With that being said, that hasn't happened in quite some time, and recent experiences have been very good. Despite my suspicions on the freshness of the food, I've not been disappointed in any meal that I've had here. Mediterranean food is just so flavorful, and unique compared to "American" foods, and I always enjoy trying something new each time I go. The service has always been fast and friendly, and the restaurant is super clean with a very comfortable atmosphere. Other than "food gate", I can't complain about anything... but the fact that I have to wonder how fresh everything is, I think I'll have to keep my rating a little low.

I love this place, I will be back!

We know we're going to have a great meal at Pegusus. My personal favorite is Chicken Lemonato. Of course we had the Saganaki, a perfect way to start our meal. Top it onto Greek bread and you're in heaven. This location is closer than Greektown and just as yummy!!

I didn't even know that there was a Pegasus in St. Clair Shores until I picked up my sister and asked her where she wanted to go for lunch and she picked this place. Well, as you can tell from my previous reviews I do like international foods! So, Pegasus was right up my alley. Parking is very convenient, right next to the front door practically! Walked in and the place was beautiful. Statues of Pegasus were throughout and there was even a wall hanging of Zeus! We sat right under an olive tree as well. Very Mediterranean style throughout the restaurant. We were seated by a window overlooking the Magnificent Mile. You could see the Detroit River from where we were seated, too bad I was with my sister instead of a gentleman - it would have been quite the romantic scene! Ordered wine, a Cabernet and it was the middle price one. Very full bodied and smooth - yum! Then we ordered a Saganaki - love this. The Cheese was perfect when I used it as a spread on a piece of bread. We then went on and ordered Lamb and Rice with peas. A little tip here - don't order your main entree right after you receive the appetizer because it comes out really really fast. We were munching on the Saganaki and out comes our main entree. Glad we only ordered 1 entree for the two of us! There was so much food. The lamb was delectable. Fall off the bone tender and it had a tomato sauce on it that made it very moist. Yellow rice and peas with the tomato sauce on it was also on the plate. Everything from the time we walked in til we left was top notch. It was a little pricey, especially for lunch, we could have gone to the Whitney, but everything was excellent. $9 for a glass of wine, $6 for the saganaki, and $15 for the entree and then my sister decided to order a dessert as well. She said it was magnificent! - an additional $6, so the entire lunch turned out to be with the tip around $60 for two people! Definitely a do again, but hopefully with a date next time!
(5)Alice A.
The food was solid. I was very happy with my meal - a bit on the expensive side, however. Not an every week dining occasion - and I'd probably opt to go to the one in Greektown for a better ambiance.
(3)Amy L.
Great Greek food. The scordallia is so good! LOTS of garlic, so do it on a day you don't have to talk to lots of people! Love the Greek salad. Dressing and feta are great. We always get chicken filet or Lemon chicken. Broiled potatoes and either green beans or peas. I also get a side of the vegetarian red sauce to dip bread and chicken. Service could use a bit of help.
(4)Kenny H.
Basically they served food that has been frozen for a while, it's bland and a little tasteless.
(3)Elaine H.
Go for the atmosphere; Greek waiters, food & wine. I'm not a huge fan of Mediterranean food. I play it safe with a gyro, chicken or fish, I stay away from casserole dishes that come cold or dry. Forget the bread, bring on the fresh pita! The menu needs updating to fresh peas, homemade tomato sauce; Eastern Market is not far away, to justify the prices! Always get the saganaki! A great place to take out of town guests!

My second time to Pegasus Taverna was even better than the first because I had the delicious lamb this time. I was with my sister, and fellow yelper, Debbie Z. on a Sunday afternoon. Both of us were impressed with the beautiful atmosphere. Check out the photo I sent, there was a beautiful olive tree decoration and dome above our table. It was pricey, more so because it was Sunday and there were no lunck specials, I suppose. The wines range from $7 a glass to $13.50 or more. Our glasses of Cabernet were $9 each. Of course the wine was fantastic, but a little above what I pay at other places. Debbie and I shared a meal. It was fantastic and Debbie took a picture of it and sent it to Yelp. We shared the meal and there was enough for Debbie to take home for her dinner. The servings are expensive, but they are also very generous. I know I should not have done it, but I asked to see the dessert tray. Wow! A variety of fantastic looking choices was brought to our table. The dessert I opted for was a delectible concoction of chocolate moose, white chocolate moose, and eclair pastry with chocolate (the kind you get on an ice cream bar) covering the entire top. It was too delicious to describe and I'm gaining two pounds just thinking about it. The name of the dessert was profiterol. "How am I going to remember that name?' I asked my sister. "Well, think of a prophet and Earl," she told me. My cousin's name is Earl Remilong, so in my mind I pictured him dressed like a prophet and it worked. I remembered the name, just so I could share it with all of you yelpers. Go there! Try the wine, the lamb, the profiterol. You will thank me when you're done.

This is our go-to I-don't-want-to-decide-what-to-cook dinner location. Their gyro meat is very good - I over look the possibility of it not being GF - what you don't know won't always hurt you. I really like their greek salads, though they could be less stingy with the beets, even though they do seem to only be the canned variety. The country is eating more beets, after all. The service here is generally good, there was once a waitress who was so bad, when ever we were seated in her section we would ask to be moved. We have not seen her in a long time though, so you should be safe. We come here often and no one else I have dined with has ever mentioned that their food was not very good. The only disappointment I have heard is that the saganaki (flaming cheese) must have changed. It does not melt as good as it used to - reccommend leaving the flames going longer than the server stands there with it.
(3)Gary D.
If you like to waste your money on overpriced food then this is the place for you. You only get one skewer of lamb shish kabob and a plate full of nasty tasting green beans for $18.00. What a rip off.
(1)Robby H.
Awesome food, fair prices and probably as close to authentic Greek as it gets. We just moved to St. Clair Shores last week and forgot Pegasus opened a location here. After a tough day of moving into our new house we didn't feel like cooking so we found Pegasus and pigged out - went home happy and very excited we have such an awesome place nearby!
(5)Abigail C.
Food is great, service is great!! No complaints!! I would HIGHLY reccomend this place..
(5)Roger W.
Well, ate here three times recently and utterly befuddled by the completely dismal 1-star reviews because that just wasn't my experience (although, I think people may be confusing with an entirely more downscale Greek diner over on Harper Road called the Athenian) Now, understand, this review has been graded on a curve, adjusting for the fact that we are in Detroit (St. Claire Shores)---I get to eat at San Francisco's Kokkari Estiatorio (look it up; Michelin Bib Gourmand notice) somewhat regularly---and if Pegasus was in SF and being benchmarked against Kokkari's cuisine and wine list, I'd give Pegasus three stars, not four--- BUT it's in St. Claire Shores, for Pete's sake! And you gotta go with what you got. Anyway, it is the suburban extension of the downtown, Greektown original---And every time I was there, service was fast, courteous (notably so; even, solicitous!) and accurate. Salads have fresh feta, bread (which could be upgraded) is served with butter and olive oil on the table. Dining space is large and they can accomodate larger parties of 8 without a fuss (reservations help). Saganaki shows up promptly, with oil and wine and it's gooey and tasty and, just like old times, flaming yellow and blue and there's an "Opa"!!!!! from the server. Love it. All portions are vast; as in, you're kidding, that's an entire lamb, not a shank! Lamb is tender and tomatoey when done as the shank; Moussaka tasted spinachy and had a flakey crust; the combination platter (lamb shank, moussaka, spanikopita, rice and peas) is huge and, well, like Greek comfort food. The lamp chops were done dead-on as asked, so whatever the problem the other reviewer had with doneness, maybe they resolved that. Desserts are/were glorious on the multiple trips; rice pudding (yum), some sort of creme brulee, backlava, and these really good Greek donuts that you have to wait 7" minutes for---because they make them fresh---and they are totally worth it. No one sloshed on ouzo and smashing dishes in the fireplace, but then, we all grow up, don't we?

I could probably write a very long love note on how much I enjoy Pegasus. The food is amazing, all the time and the restaurant is very appealing to look at as well. But, what I really love is the GREAT service coupled with the delicious food. You can't get this combination in many other restaurants. Even just ordering take out is a good experience. Went there tonight (1/2/2014 around 6pm) and the girl up front was so sweet, helpful, and professional. We all know how shitty customer service can be and it really irks me when it's horrible, because it's really not that hard to be nice to people. So, nice job Pegasus staff, you guys deserve a raise!
(5)Suzzette M.
I LOVE that I do not have to drive all the way to Greektown to get some good cheese on fire! :-D Menu is the same, in a very good, consistant way! My Husband and I are on a mission to try something new every time we go!! Chicken Lemonato is very flavorful, the prefect balance of lemon and white wine. The Pastitsio was something I normally would never order, but had it on a combo plate and it quickly became one of my fav dishes! Parking is a bit of a tight squeeze, but well worth the effort!!
(5)Joe H.
I really like the food at Pegasus. Their marinated octopus Greek salad is truly something special. Lamb shish kabob are delicious, too. The issue is the price. $18 for a skewer of shish kabob (5-6 pieces), rice & peas? Really? Greek salad w/ octopus is $13.50, which is high too, but the salad is a decent a size and octopus is a speciality item. Maybe if soup or salad was included and another skewer of lamb, the prices would be OK, but now there is no value here. However, loukoumades are a tremendous dessert & cost only $4. A Greek fritter/donut hole - warm & crusty with a sweet chewy interior topped with honey, cinnamon, and walnuts. You get 8 or so in an order - they are piping hot. A perfect finish to the meal. The atmosphere is really nice. They did a great job renovating the building. There is a bar area with only a couple of TVs (fine by me - too many TVs ruin the ambiance). Entire restaurant was packed last night, but the service was still very good. We sat at the bar, but the bartender was super attentive and pleasant. Pegasus is a solid addition to Saint Clair Shores. Hopefully the prices won't deter people from visiting.

I guess I'm review crazy because I only signed on a few days ago and now I'm writing about all the places I've been the past couple of years. Also before I start I want to say I wish the rating was more granular. In reality I would give it 3.75 stars which means it's a good choice. I've been here twice and the service was very attentive the 1st time and the 2nd time fine. One side of the restaurant is brighter (better for groups) and the other side dim (better for intimate couples or gatherings) I didn't notice anyone mention wines in any of the reviews. One of the wines we had (can't remember the name, I should have wrote it down) was a red from a Greek isle that had a great long finish and it paired with the food well. I like the fact that the wine didn't taste like it had been open for 2 weeks (I get that a lot) I think I should liive somewhere where people actually care if their wine has been out more than 3 days. Anyways, I got the vegetarian Greek Trio, very good, slightly different from the same one downtown, this one has a more hearty vegetable consistency. I like the one downtown slightly better. Expensive but worth it. Did you know Mediterranean food is the healthiest in the world for you? I will be back.
(4)Chilly P.
Just opened. They brought everything from the Greektown location, especially the food. This is as good as it gets!
(5)Lorna D.
I love that Pegasus has finally flapped his delicious Greek vittle-bringin' wings on over to the east side!! The food is wonderfully rich and tasty, consistent with the downtown locale. It's rare to find vegetarian moussaka and theirs is a moist and layered delight. Olives, cheese, the garlicky bite of skordalia, the chicken limonata is a saucy standout, their Spanakopita is flawless as it damn well better be, and never has a side of peas been such a treat-I can't figure out what they put in it! And there is something about explosions of fire in your midst during a sedate meal that "enliven the blood" like no other. I get an added cheap thrill when the server or, more likely, the patron gets that momentary look of sheer terror as huge flames belch out inches from their face! The building is kinda strange-I missed it at first thinking it was a lighthouse or something. It obviously was designed to be part of the whole "Nautical Mile" motif...whatever. Serve me grub like this and I'd eat at a rest stop! The interior is warm and welcoming. The service? Excellent! When I was mistakenly given a meaty trio a few weeks ago and couldn't take the time to drive back, someone there actually drove a replacement veggie version immediately to my place of employ so I could have my lunch! I was impressed and appreciative. Their food is well worth the few extra duckets. Consider me a red-haired version of the lass from their logo, riding through the clouds betwixt Pegasus' wings, trilling the praises of this fine food emporium o'er heaven and earth with a hunk of mane in one hand and a glass of red in the other. Poor Pegasus will have to flap mightily to keep us aloft after I polish off my Grecian feast!
(4)Emma G.
Ugh. Where should I start? The dusty grapes hanging from the ceiling? The bought in food? The awkward atmosphere? The MOMENT we walked into the door, I knew it was going to be an unusual dinner. At 430 on a Friday, the place was EMPTY. The service, I will not lie, was excellent- attentive and polite throughout our meal (the effect of an empty house? Regardless, commendable). Things took a turn for the worse when we found that the food was highly acidic, and everything tasted the same. The spinach pie tasted freezer burned and was cold in the middle. Not light-jacket cold, I-need-some-blubber-to-survive-winter-cold. The lamb chops were raw when they were first brought out (blue in the middle!!) and I'm pretty sure they put them back on the same plate after cooking them further. Overall, a sad experience that cost a small fortune, I will not be attending ever again :(
(1)Michael C.
I'm shocked by the negative reviews here. The food here is on par with the downtown location, which is excellent. The service is great and so is the atmosphere. They have a great bar and the food is always top notch for Greek. Kabobs and Saganaki is to live for and I will go back again and again. I've been to the downtown location over ten times and I've been here at least 5 times, and I've never been let down.
(5)Ricky P.
Meh. Get outta here with this crap. Over priced food that's not tasty.
(1)Ed C.
Food not great, everything seemed microwaved, which I've watched them do at their downtown location. Pricey for what you get, but saving graces are a big selection and excellent service.
(3)Dean C.
This place is outstanding in every way. Food quality, atmosphere, parking and service have left nothing to be desired. I wouldn't even consider it expensive either. I typically eat at the bar where Lisa is extremely hospitable and a wonderful bartender. The TV is easily visible and heard for the games and food has always been outstanding; Plato's Platter, The Village Salad and Grape Leaves... not to mention all the Greek basics like Saganaki and yogurt. Love this place, I hope it never changes. I'm very reluctant to give anything 5 stars but this place and the staff deserve it!
(5)Natalie F.
I don't understand how people are saying the food is crummy here and over priced. A past reviewer said they expect these prices at Roast? LOL!!!!! You won't be eating much at Roast then, sir. I've been to this location twice. First time being with four of us and each of us being superbly satisfied with the service and food. It was a Sunday night then, so the place wasn't busy. The second time being yesterday evening to celebrate a new job. The restaurant had a decent crowd, but we were seated immediately. The waiter came up almost instantaneously to take our order and was followed by the busser with our water and bread. After that it took all of a couple minutes before the server brought our Saganaki. I had the Lamb kebabs and they were perfect. I did have to ask for a side of tomato wine sauce, as I like my veggies to have a nice coating, but I'm picky like that. The boyfriend had his usual Chicken Lemonato (which is now the favorite dish of the couple who accompanied us on our previous visit) and he finished all of it. That speaks volumes. Also, at no point did we have to ask for a refill. I wish I could recall the servers name; he's the best server I've ever encountered and I worked in the industry all of my adult (and some teenage) life. I remember his face from the Greektown location though. He's a tall, older gentleman with very professional demeanor. My only complaint is the wailing toddler and the older woman who clearly has no indoor voice, seated at the table next to us. Beyond all of that, it seems the building Pegasus is located in is cursed, as restaurants don't last long there, (also, notice to SCS council members: Perhaps if you didn't tax businesses to death they'd stick around longer. Hmm??), but I hope this restaurant stands the test of time because its in permanent rotation. Oh, while I'm thinking of that wailing toddler; now that smoking is banned, am I the only person who thinks restaurants should have children and no children sections?!?!
